Director For Leadership Giving - Sarasota | American Cancer Society, FL Division | Sarasota, FL

As the Director for Leadership Giving you will be responsible for
articulating and instilling the vision of the American Cancer Society in
the Laureate Society and Gala volunteers. Specific responsibilities
include leading the Laureate Society program in assigned market; leading
the gala in assigned market; volunteer identification, recruitment and
development; ensuring key volunteers attend assigned trainings; ensuring
priority events and committees are in place within assigned timelines;
expanding the Laureate Society's presence in the community through
researching and developing volunteer resources; compiling and reporting
data for Florida Division's related priority special event reports and
Donor Cultivation Reports; determining accurate related priority special
event status to assist in income projections; ensuring all related
special events are achieving benchmarks in accordance with event
timelines; serving as a resource for meeting major gift goals; planning
high-end cultivation and recognition events for donors 10,000+,
including inaugural events, private dinners and appropriate cultivation
activities; proper donor recognition, including registration with
Division office of 10,000+ donors; and entering into Siebel donor
information including activities and opportunities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree, and three to five years experience
in fundraising, program and event planning and implementation, volunteer
recruitment, and staff and volunteer training and supervision in a
related field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and
experience; demonstrated ability in community organization, fundraising,
public relations, communications, and project management; demonstrated
ability to influence community and business leaders; demonstrated
ability to work with those in executive or senior level positions;
demonstrated excellence in interpersonal, written, and verbal
communication skills; demonstrated strong initiative and leadership
skills; collaboration and integrated planning experience; Extensive
travel within assigned geographic area.
